MINIGUI 5.0.18 RELEASED!

On Oct. 17, 2026, FMSoft announces the availability of MiniGUI 5.0.18, which is a bugfix release with some enhancements of MiniGUI 5.0.x.

What's new in version 5.0.18

In this version, we made some enhancements:

  • ENHANCEMENTS:
    • Add DRM surface lease APIs for native GPU rendering into DRM-backed device contexts, with DMA-BUF export and release fence synchronization.
    • Support dumb-buffer hardware surface allocation and PRIME export in the built-in DRM path.
  • OPTIMIZATION:
    • Copy only the accumulated damage bounding rectangle in the built-in DRM shadow-to-scanout path under non-compositing schemas.
    • Improve pixel copying with correct pitch, offset, and bounds handling, and add DMA-BUF CPU read synchronization.
  • BUGFIXING:
    • Fix DRM device initialization failures caused by platform-driver name mismatches on Rockchip and similar SoCs.
    • Fix scanout buffer ownership and pending damage handling during page flips.
    • Fix synchronous page flips when DirtyFB is unavailable and prevent incorrect flipping in single-buffer mode.
    • Fix DRM software cursor rendering and synchronization between native drawing and GDI operations.
    • Fix lost touch positions and press/release events in buffered singletouchkey input.
    • Fix invalid touch slot queries for libinput TOUCH_FRAME events.
  • TESTS AND DOCUMENTATION:
    • Add regression tests for DRM damage updates, buffer synchronization, and surface lease locking.
    • Document DRM damage update behavior and RK3566 acceptance checks.
